Historically, this site has been built by its users.
Unfortunately, the traffic (and therefore, the "users") have been at major lows.
Sad to see for a site that used to be so big in the community.
I'd personally like to see everyone get active again.
If it's just not going to happen then there's not much we can do about it.
It could just be the perpetual waiting that has become synonomous with the swg
emulator project. It could just be the world economy, or Real life issues.
No matter what may be keeping everyone from stopping by once in a while,
I hope to see you all come back soon.
I really don't want to say goodbye to it, but I also don't like to beat a dead
horse. Sadly thats kind of what we're doing at this point.
I'd like to hear from everyone and their thoughts on keeping SWGmods alive.

Berix's tools and New things added!
Berix has sorted out the tre packer and gave it a GUI for people who don't want to use the command prompt way

Also he made a CRC editor so we can add new items by entering in object/whatever.iff and add it in server side and it will load

Also there is another CRC tool as mentioned before which is Kyles and its fully fixed and working

The tools are great, they are going to help so much, many thanks to Berix and Kyle 
Hopefully they can help with future tools when we need them
Onto new items, if you look at previous news you will see theres pod racers, new species and items. Thanks to the crc editor pod racers are in server and there a brand new item and they fully work as a new vehicle.
New armor has been added also, I will be working on the species soon and hopefully get the server to load them.

Let the races begin!
Lets kick off the races now, everyone choose your pod racer!
Yeah I'm afraid there's only two off them and I only got a screenshot off one, but hell they are pod racers guys! We got a lot of plans installed for them.
We will be making a special pod racing planet which will have several scenes such as, grass, jungle, water, desert and maybe more, you will have to dodge those trees try find short cuts, learn the tracks and unlock the secrets behind pod racing.

New tools in the spotlight!
Trepacker is done, yup fully working!
Special thanks to Berix for making it and SWGANH for pointing him in the right direction.
Thanks to Solen as well for trying to create a tre packer!

Another tool is one so we can add object/whatever.iff into the crc template list to get the server to reconize the crc so we can get new items etc loading.

Modders come back!
Its certainly been busy on the modding side.
Drfeelgood and Aobo are back on the field, currently were working server side (core 3) and client side to see what we can add to get on servers at launch (hopefully ANH will be easy enough to add in when they release)
Berix and Solen are fighting to get a tre packer working for us, the outlook currently looks good. Many thanks to those two for trying so hard
Kyle from SWGEmu is making a tool so we can add items & planets to the crc list (location: misc/XXX.iff) Many thanks to him as well for working on it!
Powerking is working on the msh convertor so we can add new models, its going be exciting when its finally finished and lots of possibilities will open up.
Once all these tools are fully finished there will be so much we can start doing in SWG!
Doc is working on pod racers.
Aobo is with me and thinking of new species to add and experimenting with things.

Modding Update!
Sorry that we haven't posted many updates guys, however were not a ghost town, please can we get more people posting on the forums so we can post more lol.
Onto serious news.
On the modding front so far been working on newish items for servers, depending on how things go this may be released to every server but it may be certain servers only to keep servers (that some of us are Developers for unique).
So what has been worked on so far?
New armor, New professions, New species and a few other things.
Currently we have 1 new suit of armor ready to be added to the server and 1 new species (these have all the object .iff files and also added the CRC so the client knows what to load etc)

SWGPreCU is open source!
This was posted on February 23rd:
Today is an exciting day for SWGPreCUEmu!
As of today we will be completely open source. This means open development, open wiki, open everything. You can download the source, modify it, host a server, what ever you want there are no restrictions. If you are interested in contributing, have new code to submit, or just have an idea you want to run by the devs then join us in #submissions(irc.swgprecu.com) this is where all code and development specific chat will be happening. It is also where you too can join the ranks as a SWGPreCUEmu developer or researcher.
We have opened up a new SVN on assembla.com and the most recent version of the core and dummy have been uploaded. You can access the code from http://svn2.assembla.com/svn/swgprecu , You can find the bugtracker at http://www.swgprecu.com/bugtracker, and the wiki can be found at http://wiki.swgprecu.com.

CRAFTING!
it's been a while since we had a visual update
and ANH has a nice Video
to to make up for lost time.
